Far East Hospitality has launched a new hotel in Singapore – its second new opening in the past two months.

Amoy is a new boutique hotel located in Far East Square – a heritage area in the centre of the city, where early migrants to Singapore first landed. In keeping with this heritage theme, guests will enter the hotel through a museum, Fuk Tak Chi, which was formerly a temple and the headquarters for the Hakka and Cantonese communities in the 1800s.

“As a home-grown brand, we are positioned to offer them more than just comfortable stays because we can deliver the unique Singaporean experience. We want to tell the Singapore story and create the bespoke journey so that our guests can immerse in the discovery of intriguing Singaporean heritage,” said Arthur Kiong, CEO of Far East Hospitality.

“At Amoy, we also make it a point to welcome all our foreign travellers from the airport, just like how early migrants were picked up by their loved ones upon arriving on Singapore’s shores. This is our commitment to ensure that our service is personalised.”

Amoy will feature just 37 rooms, each named after a Chinese family, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.

It becomes Far East’s 10th hotel in Singapore, shortly after the opening of its ninth, the Village Hotel Katong.
