Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has expressed Singapore’s deepest concern for the safety of the crew and passengers on board missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

SINGAPORE: Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has expressed Singapore’s deepest concern for the safety of the crew and passengers on board missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
In his letters to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Mr Lee said Singapore will continue to support the ongoing efforts by Malaysia, China and other countries to find the aircraft as soon as possible.
In his letter to Mr Najib, Mr Lee said Singapore stands ready to provide any further support that will help in the search and locate operation.
Mr Lee said since he spoke with Mr Najib on the phone a week ago, Singapore has deployed aircraft and ships to join in the search for MH370.
These include two C-130 planes, a naval helicopter, two warships and a submarine support and rescue vessel.
On Friday, Singapore despatched a Fokker-50 maritime patrol aircraft to look for the missing Malaysian Airlines jet.
Mr Lee said Singapore is co-operating closely with the Malaysian Government in its search and locate operation.
In his letter to Premier Li, Mr Lee said several of the Chinese nationals on board the missing plane are reported to have been working or studying in Singapore.
He expressed Singapore’s deepest concern for the passengers, crew and their families during this difficult time.
