Singapore Cruise Centre to be Gold Sponsor at Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific

NEW YORK , Sept. 17, 2013 /CNW/ – Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific welcomes Singapore Cruise Centre as the Gold Sponsor for the 2013 conference and tradeshow, taking place Oct 9-10, 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

“We are delighted to have Singapore Cruise Centre be such a prominent part of our event,” said Portfolio Director Daniel Read of UBM, the show’s organizer. “This event opens the door to this burgeoning cruise market and our two brands maximize that value to our attendees and exhibitors.”

Singapore Cruise Center (SCC) is the island republic’s premier cruise terminal operator, having been in the business for more than 21 years. It manages the international cruise terminal at HarbourFront, which is strategically located within a bustling shopping, dining and entertainment precinct, and is well-connected to the rest of the city, including the airport through a multi-node transport hub.

SCC’s cruise terminal underwent a major S$14 million revamp and rejuvenation last year. Through innovative space planning an additional 26% was carved out for passenger operations. Passenger clearance is now much faster, especially with additional immigration counters and the state of art security equipment.

The Gold Sponsorship offers Singapore Cruise Centre the ability to increase their exposure to the hundreds of Asia -focused cruise line executives and partners integral in growing this market, both in advance of, and during the show.

“This event will be an excellent opportunity for us to build on long-standing relationships with the movers and shakers of the burgeoning cruise industry in Asia ,” said Christina Siaw , Singapore Cruise Centre’s CEO. “Our sponsorship underscores our commitment to promoting the cruise market in the region and Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific is an ideal platform for all stakeholders to hear from each other and share best practices to tap into and further contribute to the growing cruise market.”
