Integrated resort Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has clinched a three-year deal to play host to annual travel trade show, ITB Asia, from 2014. ITB Asia is organised by Messe Berlin, which also organises the world’s largest travel show in Berlin.
Under the new agreement, the next three editions will take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, said MBS and the show’s organiser Messe Berlin said in a joint statement on Tuesday. More funds will also be pumped into the show over the next three years to provide “more quality content that addresses the opportunities, trends and potential issues faced by the industry”, it added.
The three-day ITB Asia, now in its sixth year, attracts over 8,000 participants from more than 90 countries each October. It provides a platform for players in the trade industry to network and make deals.
This year’s show will take place from Oct 23 to 25 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Exhibitor space for the event is sold out.
