David Beckham could be making more frequent visits to Singapore, after inking a deal with Las Vegas Sands, who control Marina Bay Sands as well as a similar integrated resort in Macau.
The former England football captain made the announcement on the sidelines of the Manny Pacquiao v Brandon Rios boxing match, which takes place in Macau on Sunday morning.
He paid tribute to the company, saying: “The Sands team has created amazing resorts in Singapore and Macau. The scale, vision and calibre in all that they do is impressive. I am very excited to be working with them to develop a range of new business ideas in a part of the world that I love spending time in and is full of optimism and growth.”
Marina Bay Sands CEO George Tanasijevich said he hopes Beckham will be able to build on his successful visit with future assignments.
