The princess canopy also shows up in the So Studio (above), the highest room category, and So VIP (below), the largest suite type. Like the So Cosy room, the So Studio indicates at least some of the rooms will have a peekaboo bathroom. All rooms have a long list of amenities that make us very happy including Sofitel MyBeds, free WiFi, an Apple Mac mini, an iPad mini, and iPhone 5 for guest use. Minibars are complimentary too. The headboard in each room has a modern interpretation of Singapore’s national flower, the Orchid.
Xperience restaurant and bar will be on the ground floor, with Hi-So bar next to the rooftop pool, clearly visible in the rendering below.
Reservations are yet to open, but last year we were promised rates starting from S$350 (US$280) for a So Cosy room. Renderings seem to be randomly, and mostly incorrectly, matched to room category descriptions on the hotels website at the moment, which we assume will be sorted out in the next weeks. Well continue to wait for more news on Karl Lagerfelds work at the hotel beyond the Lions Seal too.
