SEA Games: Singapore men"s and women"s table tennis teams achieve easy wins


Singapore got their table tennis campaign off on a winning note, with both the men’s and women’s teams achieving easy wins in their first round ties.

SINGAPORE: Singapore got their table tennis campaign off on a winning note, with both the men’s and women’s teams achieving easy wins in their first round ties.


Singapore’s men’s team beat Malaysia 3-0 in the group stage.


Their next group stage match is against Indonesia at the Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.


Despite fielding a relatively younger team, Singapore are still the favourites for a top podium finish.


The women’s team took on Indonesia and won 3-0. They next play Malaysia on Wednesday.
