A Marina Bay Sands croupier has been caught by the police for allegedly cheating the casino.
The 31-year-old man had apparently colluded with his accomplice, a 29-year-old female patron, at the gaming table, the police said on Wednesday.
On June 18, the casino operator tipped off the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which led to the arrest of both people on the same day.
Head of the Casino Crime Investigation Branch of the CID Sim Wei Chung, said the police “takes a serious view of casino staff and patrons who collude to cheat at casinos. These offenders will be dealt with to the full extent of the law”.
