Zhang Ziyi, Wang Lee-Hom in town to promote new film

SINGAPORE – Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and Taiwan-based American singer-actor Wang Lee-Hom were given a roaring welcome by fans on Friday evening at Marina Bay Sands, where they attended the gala premiere of their new movie, My Lucky Star.

“This marks the fifth movie premiere at the (Marina Bay Sands’) MasterCard Theatres and we hope to keep this momentum going by bringing more international movies of similar calibre from the Americas, Europe and around the world, to this part of Asia,” said Mr George Tanasijevich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marina Bay Sands.

The Sands SkyPark was one of the filming locations for the Chinese romantic comedy, which opens in cinemas on September 19.

The movie is a tale about how a lowly travel agent (played by Zhang), finding escape in her own comic book creations, meets the man of her dreams – a handsome super-spy from her own comics (played by Wang) – in Singapore.
